Samiya Ahmed Abdi is the founder of Aspire 2 Lead. Education: Bachelor of Science, Public Health, Ryerson University Master's Degree, Public Health, University of Waterloo Graduate Diploma in Social Innovation and Systems Thinking, School of Environment Enterprise and Development, University of Waterloo Areas of Expertise: Business & Workplace: Employability Skills through Aspire 2 Lead`s career diversity training, lived experience of various career shifts, including in the non-profit, corporate and government sectors. Education: Navigating Post-Secondary Education. Civil Engagement: Community Mobilization, Graduate diploma in systems thinking and social innovation, focusing on creating a resilient Canada. Health: Undergrad and Master level training in public health, currently health promotion consultants providing training to health care practitioners across Ontario. Mental Health: Mental health and Substance use counselling and case management for 3 years working with youth and their families. Youth Issues: Over 15 years of directly working on youth programs development, creating safe spaces for young Muslim women to learn and grow. Leadership Skills: Management experience and community leadership, as well as young Muslim women`s leadership training . Understanding Ethno-Cultural Communities: Provision of Cultural Competence and Cultural safety trainings.
